Our Challenge
This project was intended as a full redesign and technical rebuild for UtopiaGaming e. V., with a clear focus on B2C services such as Minecraft hosting and an integrated radio section. In addition to the public-facing website, the platform was planned to include separate areas for hosting, marketing, and events — each structured as independent but connected modules. The main technical challenge was not only the visual redesign, but the complete backend architecture. The goal was to rebuild the system from the ground up, including database design and integration using Prisma. This required rethinking the existing structure, implementing a clean data model, and ensuring a scalable foundation for future features such as user management, service subscriptions, and event handling.
Our Solution
The project significantly expanded our technical skill set, particularly in working with Prisma for database modeling and integration within a modern Next.js architecture. The rebuild process strengthened our understanding of full-stack system design, including structured data relationships, scalable schema planning, and clean separation of frontend and backend logic. From a design perspective, the interface was developed with a clean, modern approach focused on usability and trust — especially important for a community-driven organization offering hosting services. Although the final design was later reconsidered internally, the implemented structure remains modular and adaptable for future iterations. The underlying architecture provides a solid foundation for hosting, radio, and event-based extensions, and demonstrates practical experience in real-world full-stack development scenarios.
